The following excerpts from Logitech’s product page highlight some of the performance enhancements that can be realized with the MX Vertical mouse:
- “MX Vertical’s natural handshake position reduces muscular strain by 10% and promotes a more ergonomic posture”
- “MX Vertical’s unique 57 degree vertical angle reduces pressure on your wrist, while your thumb is positioned comfortably on the thumb rest.”
- A best in class 4000 DPI high-precision sensor where “Advanced optical tracking with a dedicated cursor speed switch results in 4x less hand movement – reducing muscle and hand fatigue.”
The MX Vertical mouse at least addresses another of my pet peeves by providing a rechargeable battery. The timing is never good for dead keyboard batteries especially when you’re in the middle of a project and there’s no replacements to be found. A one minute quick charge provides 3 hours of use while a full charge provides enough power for up to four months of use.
There are three ways to connect the MX Vertical mouse to your devices: USB-C charging cable, Logitech Unifying Receiver, or Bluetooth. Note that a single unifying device can accommodate up to six devices.
Logitech’s price tag of $129.99 is typically steep for products making their debut on the market though lower prices for the MX Vertical mouse can be found elsewhere. I have yet to determine whether the performance and efficiency gains of the MX Vertical mouse make feasible to replace my MX Master 2S. However, if you are an avid mouse user, the MX Vertical mouse may just provide you with the relief you’re looking for.
Until Next Time – STAY lean!
